Half Day Course Outline:
This course will provide field engineers/endusers the knowledge in PD measurements and the confidence in NDB TEV equipment that they're going to use.
Theoretical Session (8:30AM to 10:00AM)
• Introduction to Partial Discharge (PD)• Partial Discharge theory
• Detection Methods & Calculation Definitions
PD Instruments (10:00 to 11:30AM)
• PD Detection with Expert PD Analyser XDP-II• Operational safety in high voltage environments
• Functionality and practical familiarisation with handheld instrument in a classroom environment
• Conducting PD Surveys
• Data recording methods
• Interpretation of results
• Analysis and comparison with historical results
• Options for further investigation
Theory Assessment (15mins)
Practical Assessment (each trainee should have his own laptop to get familiarise with the software)
